Religious Education Program

A Faith Sharing Community

St Joseph’s Parish, a faith sharing community, provides a Faith Formation Program for children (grades 1 through 8) who attend public school. This program offers our children the opportunity to share in our Catholic heritage, rich in scripture, liturgy, doctrine and tradition. Our Faith Formation Program includes:

  1. Sacramental preparation programs for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation, involving parents and children
  2. A summer intensive program for grades 1 - 8.

Children and parents are encouraged to participate in all parish activities. The focus of the program is to guide our children in forming a deeper relationship with God and the community through the Scriptures and the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist.

Faith Formation is a life-long journey sustained and strengthened through Prayer, Celebrating the Sunday Liturgy, receiving the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, and Service to the needs of others.

Certified teachers, who are practicing Catholics, are always welcome to join our catechetical team. Catechists’ Programs of training and certification are provided. For additional information, call the Religious Education Office at 732-349-0018, ext. 2225 or 2236.
