RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The Religious Education program provides faith formation for nearly 1500 Parish children from kindergarten through 8th grade who attend public schools. The program offers children the opportunity to share in our Catholic heritage, through traditions, scripture and church doctrine. Faith formation is a lifelong process sustained and nourished by all the members of our Church community.

The programs include:

  • Weekly Religious Education Classes

  • Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. These programs involve both children and parents.

  • Summer, Bible Camp for preschool through 5th grade. A two week summer program that promotes scripture learning and character building in a fun and playful way.

  • Sunday Children's Liturgy (Monthly at 9:00 am Mass and special feast days)

  • Seasonal Liturgical Prayer Services including Breakfast in Bethlehem and a Christmas Pageant during Advent and Living Stations during Lent.

  • Rainbow program for children whose families hove experienced some type of loss or separation

The focus of St Joseph's program is to guide our children in forming a deeper relationship with God and the community through the Scriptures and the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist.

Volunteers Needed:

Catechists are always needed. We invite Volunteer Catechists to share their "Gift of Faith" with our children. Catechist programs for training and certification are provided.
